Adult Bible Fellowship
Omaha Central places a big emphasis on adult Sunday School. We offer an assortment of quarterly electives, so there is something for everyone! YOU are invited and encouraged to be a part of a class. And at Central, you will be welcomed!

Here are the classes for this quarter:

Adult Elective - facilitated by Glenn Brennan.
Using the material from the Nazarene Publishing House, during December we will enter into the Advent season, preparing our hearts by thinking about the coming of Christ at Christmas.

In January and February, this segment is called "Look to the Lord!" - a study of Psalms. The Psalms are read, changed, and sung by countless people every day of the year across the face of the earth. Probably no other piece of literature has so impacted the songs and prayers of so many people for such an enduring period of time. For the people of God, the Psalms contain special encouragement because they describe the experiences of people just like us. In the nine Sundays during these two months, we will discover timeless truths for living.

Adult Elective - "Fundamentals of the Faith" - facilitated by David Means.
Are you a new believer? Or perhaps not a new believer, but maybe one who has never really been grounded in the basics? Do you want to know more, but you're not sure where to start? Regardless of where you are in your spiritual journey, you will learn something new in this class! Using the workbook ìFundamentals of the Faithî by John MacArthur, we will cover foundational truths of the Faith. Each lesson is loaded with learning tools to help you engage Scripture. And Dave will also be using the Nazarene Manual as another aid in our study of the church's basic doctrine.

Women's Class - "Twelve Extraordinary Women" - facilitated by Kim Boschult.
This quarter, we will enjoy a fascinating study of some amazing and extraordinary Biblical women. Although each one is remembered in the scriptures for their courage, their vision, their hospitality, or their spiritual giftedness, it wasn't their natural qualities that made these women extraordinary - it was the power of the one true God whom they worshipped and served. Their struggles and temptations are the same trials faced by all believers in all ages. And the God THEY served is the same God who continues to mold and use ordinary people today. Another wonderful study by James MacArthur. Join us!

Men's Support Group - facilitated by Pastor Dan Cole.
Using the book "Men of the Word" by Nathan Busenitz, we will be discussing questions such as ìWhat is God's calling for men? What character qualities does He value? What is biblical manhood and how is it cultivated? By looking at the lives of some of the men of the Bible like Abraham, David, Paul and Timothy, and the challenges and issues they struggled with - the same type of issues we face today - we will recognize qualities that God values. If you desire to grow in godliness, join us!

Adult Elective - God, Glory, and Government - facilitated by Ken Love.
We are about to enter an election year. For some time now, we have been told that our faith should not co-mingle with politics. We constantly hear the phrase "Separation of church and state". Yet what does that mean - what did it mean to the founding fathers? We were established as a godly nation, yet today we are afraid to allow our faith to influence our view of politics and our country. Join us as we discover "One Nation Under God" - and what it should mean to us.
